Can I breastfeed while on medications for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)?

Most medications used in IBD, including biologics, are compatible with breastfeeding except for methotrexate and tofacitinib. Mesalamine is preferred over sulfasalazine and you can discuss with your doctor if you need to switch or not.
