Can I travel with an ostomy?

Yes, you can travel with an ostomy, although there are some things to be aware of. When it comes to traveling– and especially if you\’re getting on an airplane– it\’s important to be prepared and have extra supplies. You should place supplies in your carry on as well as your checked bag in case of delays or lost baggage. A helpful hint is to pre-cut your skin barriers ahead of time, and release the gas out of your pouch prior to take off as the changes in air pressure may cause the bag to expand.
