How do I manage cramps with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)?

Depending on the cause, you may be able to manage cramping with diet changes, medications, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and/or Gut-Directed Hypnotherapy. Reach out to your Care Team to discuss options that might work for you.

If you are experiencing severe cramping along with nausea, vomiting, or the inability to have a bowel movement, you will want to be checked out in the emergency department of your local hospital.
