Is there a link between Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?

While IBD and IBS can have some similar symptoms, they are two separate conditions. IBD is a disease that is caused by inflammation in the GI tract while IBS is disorder of gut-brain interaction.
